For too long the industry has been taken for granted. It is time that policy makers start paying attention. Louisiana Music Partners™ was created to speak with a unified voice for the Louisiana Music economy. Our goal is to inform and educate policy makers around the state about the power of music and its potential.

The music industry in Louisiana is an economic driver contributing $1.4 Billion to the state’s GDP and employing over 30,000 Louisianians. Our state enjoys the most vibrant festival and live music industry in the world. We have identified significant growth opportunities in other sectors of the music industry ecosystem that are poised for growth, particularly regarding intellectual property creation and monetization.
The US music market size is estimated at USD 30.70 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach USD 45.65 billion by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 8.54% during the forecast period (2024-2029). The music industry has reached a new level of internationalization and opportunity for the Louisiana music industry. Recognizing this economic importance and incentivizing growth in the Louisiana’s music industry support system for developing music industry careers is vital for our current and future music creators and the economy of Louisiana.
